An Infernal Salon for Strange Horizons!

Hello! It’s spooky season, so my delightful and talented friends, C. S. E. Cooney and Carlos Hernandez are hosting an Infernal Salon this weekend!

Image description: Three illustrations of fantastical things: a dark skinned perso with their head in the clouds, a plague doctor in a bird mask holding an ominous glowing apple, and a figure with black hair and a red cloak walking into the woods towards a wolf spirit. All of these are above the title of the magazine, Strange Horizons, which is presented in a black, blue, and purple color scheme.

This FREE event will be a celebration of Strange Horizons, the magazine where I began my fiction editing career! Claire and Carlos will be doing mini interviews with people like me who have a past attachment to the magazine, and they will also have a group of extremely wonderful and talented writers doing improv writing based on prompts from Negocios Infernales, a card game they created, which will be coming out through Outland Entertainment!

Image description, a man copies words from a book while the devil stands beside him and holds an oil lamp to light his writing space. The book is supported by tiny demons on their hands and knees. Text on this poster reads, “Join us for a WRITING SALON where you DRAW SPOOKY CARDS to feed your CREATIVITY and support Strange Horizons! October 24th, 7:30-9:30PM. Join us!”

This salon should be a fabulous time. This event is FREE, and you can register on eventbrite here. You don’t need to pay anything, but if you feel like chipping something in, Strange Horizons is currently fundraising for next year over on Kickstarter!

I hope to see you there!
